Draw inspiration from all sources, and be a guiding influence for students seeking mentorship. Strive to embody honesty, generosity, and professionalism in every interaction.
Pursue ongoing professional development to deepen artistic and creative understanding.
Stay updated on trends, pedagogy, policies, and ideas as a choreographer, teacher, and mentor.
Our communities are a vital source of strength and inspiration. Continue enriching lives through community engagement and arts education.
ARTIST
STATEMENT

A Persistent Echo
As an artist with diverse identities, I’m inspired by the resistance against oppression faced by racial, sexual, and gender minorities and the societal consumption of queer and/or black performance styles such as jazz, voguing, and hip hop. I am passionate about exploring these dance forms and how they simultaneously affect and are affected by contemporary social contexts.
Building on this rich history, I seek to not only broaden and expand my own practice and pedagogical development, but to provide innovative, inclusionary spaces for the next generation of dance artists to grow and thrive in this evolving field of study.
My focus includes exploring these intersectional performance practices, delving into experimental methodology, and blending this with in-depth technical training to create dynamic interdisciplinary performances and productions.
